We are living in a world of globalization which brings cultures into close contact as never before. These intercultural interactions are a challenge to all of us; for meeting “the Other” is a complicated and often painful and frustrating experience. In spite of the hardships awaiting, the future of Mankind will depend on transcending the limitations imposed by our own culture. Input to the analysis, discussion, and extension activities will be supplied by literary extracts and multimedia materials.
